About

Barry Judge, Best Buy CMO
I’m the CMO for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services. I help provide overall vision and leadership to all areas of marketing for the enterprise, including brand management, customer research and development, trend, promotions, advertising, marketing communications, internal communications and public affairs.
I help guide the brand strategy for the company, drive the development of new marketing capabilities and empower marketing innovation as the company transforms to put the customer at the center of our business model.
I started at Best Buy as a member of the e-commerce team in November 1999 and helped in the 2000 launch of BestBuy.com and our multi-channel consumer marketing and direct marketing efforts. In 2006 my role expanded to include oversight of our customer research and development capability to help us get better at serving our customers and finding new ways to grow. I also picked up responsibility for marketing communications, internal communications, public relations, public affairs and promotions at that time.
My career began in The Direct Marketing Group and I’ve held positions ranging from marketing assistant to product group manager with Young & Rubicam, Coca Cola USA, The Quaker Oats Company and the Pillsbury Company. I was also vice president of marketing for Caribou Coffee Company.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s degree in marketing from the J.L. Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
